Detailed Maruti Suzuki Swift Review

What's Good?

A proper hatchback - Good looking, Spacious, Reasonably priced and a great 1.3L 4 cylinder engine making 87 bhp which is more than enough for the city and on the highway when required The performance at third gear is just divine - just the right amount of torque and the surge of power can be felt instantaneously and the steering wheel isn't bad either.

What can improve?

The interiors are a bit dull and the car does lack certain convenience features as standard. You always have to yank the gear stick a couple of times for switching to reverse gear.

Overall Comments

Contemporary European design.Cool brick red color.

Not exciting at all.Dull grey.plastic feels cheap. In fact,it is cheap.Mine has good scratches on both the front and rear bumpers thanks to rowdy rick-walas and our very own desi "Valentino Rossis"on their bikes.

Ride quality is standard at low speeds .Around 80 kmph. you feel confident and in the ride is a bit hard, which is actually reassuring but go above that and the car starts to wobble a bit.

With an excellent network of service workshop and the fact that any road-side "pappu" mechanic can fix the car during an hour of need, I am totally happy and know that I made the right choice.
