swift is after all an a car wit an excellent powerplant
After reading repeated complaints of the nagging squeeks, one can really conclude that the swift is after all an a car wit an excellent powerplant but a light, flimsy squeeking body. I too get my car serviced very regularly and even after long journeys atleast to have the lube levels checked and air filters cleaned. No complaints ever about the dealer service. It all comes down to the car. I need to keep getting my doors checked every 4-5 months for fitting n alignment. Then the car's nice n silent for a week or so and the squeeks start to creep in slowly all over again. But i would solely NOT blame maruti for this squeeking body, its the HORRIBLE roads to blame too.
The other thing i tried out with the swift vdi is using a remapped ecu i got from italy. The output is now 95 bhp and overtaking which was always a dream is now even more enjoyable. Though we must learn to use this extra bhp wisely or this pocket rocket is sure to end up in another vehicle. If driven with a light foot under 100 or around the 80km/hr mark, the swift now returns a healthy 25.5 km/ltr to me.... I seriously feel ppl ready to spend a little should try out this remapped ecu which costs around 23k, much lesser than the Pete's ecu available in india.
Happy driving.
