Detailed Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Review

What's Good?

The super silent engine which is so quiet throughout its rpm.The incredible mileage, my car gives me 21.6km/L of diesel (average fuel consumption). Personally I like the explosion of turbo that comes at 2000 rpm which propels the car like a rocket. I have adapted my driving style in that manner, so that I can burst into that power whenever needed. The interior of the car is a nice place to be, with dual tone interiors, climate control, steering mounted audio controls, ABS- its a treat inside. Finally the peace of mind of owning a maruthi car, is just beyond words............its from the heart.

What can improve?

Personally there is nothing that I disliked in my car. For a family of four, the boot holds the luggage with ease. May be the suzuki engineers might have done something to increase the luggage bay for XL families. The idea of factory fitted parking sensors should be seriously thought.

Overall Comments

DZire is a well thought design. The front is similar to its younger brother, but the the fog lamp design and the front grille gives the DZire, a character. From the side it looks really sporty, a car that gives you the feeling of moving even if it is parked. The rear is a huge metamorphosis from the old DZire, but it may look a little odd for some people. But believe me, when you start living with your DZire, you will begin to love its rear....thats the way DZire is crafted. The overall paint quality is decent and the car feels more solid than expected.

My DZire ZDI with its dual tone interiors is always special. The front seats are really pampering, you will just love it. There is space for your cups, pepsi bottles and other nig nags. The climate control is just superb and the ease of changing songs at the tip of your fingers through steering mounted controls is a merry. The tapering V instrument cluster looks so good and the dials are easy to read with multi information display and feels special when illuminated....

Handling of DZire ZDi is picture perfect. With power steering, wider tyres, alloy wheels- its a joy to handle in all terrains. Coming to braking department ,with ABS EBD and brake assist, the car brakes excellent under normal conditions. But when the pace builds up, you will feel that the brakes lack that extra bite, but its hardly a deal breaker. I love my DZire mainly because of its frugal and efficient DDis engine. It is very silent, highly fuel efficient, gives that turbo blast at 2000 rpm that makes you forget the lag.The overall ride quality is decent with cabin well insulated from the road noises and the suspension is also smooth..

Maruthi has done a magnificient work on the new generation Swift DZire. Its an excellent car that has got huge strengths in almost all key areas. If you are looking for a budget diesel car, with good fuel efficiency, looks, comfort, good service back up and economical to maintain..... there is no second thoughts.....
