Last year I purchased the highly renowned car of Maruti, the Maruti Suzuki Ritz. Since I bought it, the car seems as a best buy to me. I am highly satisfied with the on-road drive that it offers and the comfort features that this hatchback possess. Besides these, the highlighting aspect of Maruti Ritz is its excellent mileage, which is around 21.1 kmpl. Both the petrol as well as diesel variants of this car are available in the Indian market and I bought the diesel variant. With the advancements that have been done in the diesel variant like the use of DDis engine, this hatchback delivers a decent performance. Owing to such an engine configuration, the diesel variant of Ritz has a maximum displacement of 1248 cc. Power output of 73 hp at 4000 rpm is generated by this engine. The acceleration of Maruti Suzuki Ritz is also quite good as the car can reach the speed mark of 60 kmph in just 5.9 seconds. Apart from the technical features of this car, Maruti Ritz has superb interiors, which look irresistible and elegant. The interiors of this car consist of fabric upholstery, which provides a magnificent ambience. Some of the prominent interior features of Maruti Ritz are seat back pocket, front seat under tray, comfortable seats, tachometer and digital displayed trip meter. These features not only provide an elegant look but also prove quite effective in offering maximum comfort during the drive.

* New improved looks * Mind blowing pick up * Sporty Gear box makes gear shifting a delight experience * Wide tire size rules the roads * Unbelievable mileage * High drive position gives feeling like sitting in a SUV..!! * Definitely a male..!!
What Can Improve
* Power steering needs to be made smoother than present to make handling experience even more exciting. * Color of interiors must be made more pleasant like that in swift Dzire. * Dual tone interiors is not provided with every color which should be. * Boot space is another point which can be looked for.
@ Best hatchback diesel car or is simply a must buy hatchback diesel car. I am writing this only after driving my Ritz ZDI more than 20,000 kms in a year..!! # After driving the ritz @ constant speed of 80 km/hr or less ( 350 kms traveling ), it gave mileage of > 27 km/lt..!! * Don't believe..? ....... Just drive the car with same speed on highway & check your self..!! * Good luck.

built quality i think want to improve .After my first service about 2000 km the vehicle have a sound from backside little louderone its big fault its because of production mistake the service from the authorised center was not good other wise from vehicle side the car is better to buy than any other maruti suzuki model ....
i will recomend my friends to go through this vehicle than any other who looking from the marutisuzuki family...

pickup, breaking, high speed running, road grip, no vibrations, milage ( regularly getting 17.5 - 20.5 ) with AC in delhi's traffic, huge dash board, sporty gear shift.

Poor Poor Mileage - serice centre people is helpless to solve the problem

i have bought Ritz VXI on July 2010, about the car interior it is class & rich, but about the Average it is too bad, i am getting average in city 7 to 8 & on highway it is 14, i have given complain since october 2010 to authorised service center, Sai Service at andheri - mumbai, but they are committing all time, but they are always failed also we have a issue of steering, it is always getting some sound during drive, it is solved after 1 year of so many tries from the service center people., about the maintenance it is too high & very less in mileage. i have Hyundai santro car also purchased on dec 2003, still this car is giving average in city 11 to 12 & on highway 15 & it is 1/3 in maintenance compare to Ritz. now, choice is yours about the Maruti Ritz about the reviews & points my vies is , i'll never suggest any people to go for a Maruti Ritz, it is a costliest car like 20Lakh car value which is giving average of 7 to 8. Exterior The body strength looks good. The front is classy with prominent grills. Headlamps are good. The only problem to some people would be its back. Its weird shaped agreed but it solves the objective of being different. For Ritz's looks you can easily say one thing "Love it or Hate it.. but cant avoid it". Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) This is where Ritz scores over everyone in its class. With its height it feels as if you are in a office cabin. The height also increases your visiblity wrt traffic. Dash board is of good quality with intelligent storage space. The gear handle location is perfect for anyone's arm. With its location you dont feel the pain of driving for long hours. AC is very powerful and does well enough to beat the jamshedpur temperature of 44 c. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is peppy and responds to any kind of traffic situation.Be it a traffic situation of bumper to bumper traffic or driving on highways. I personally drove it with 7 of my friends fitted inside it and even at the speed of 135 i can feel the engine's capacity to increase the speed further. And all this you get with your giving you a mileage of around 13-14 kmpl. Ride Quality & Handling The car's stability stands out despite its shape. As shared earlier with 135 kmph speed i could not feel any disturbance. This baby was just doing fine. The ground clearance is awesome and with its shock absorbers it can easily make its way through Okhala roads as well. Final Words If you are planning to buy a family car which can easily make person of any age sit, Go for it, and As for its shape you would stand out. Areas of improvement Boot space.
