Summary

Maruti Suzuki Omni has 2 versions available in India which are petrol cars. Maruti Suzuki Omni comes in 4 colours, namely, Fantasy Black, Pearl Blue Blaze, Silky Silver Metallic, Superior White.

Maruti Suzuki Omni is a spacious utility vehicle, which received major updates in 2005.Even after the update, this utility vehicle remained boxy and outdate; the cabin of the car saw a huge improvement over its predecessor. The Omni is available with a32.8bhp, 0.8-litre petrol engine and a LPG fuel option. A 4-speed manual gearbox is on offer. It’s easy to drive in city, but fuel economy isn’t up-to the mark.

The Omni isn’t one of the fuel efficient Maruti Suzuki cars in India, but a decent one.It can accelerate 100kmph from standstill in 20 seconds.

The cabin of the car, too, looks outdated and has obsolete features and equipment. It features cup holders, dual-tone upholstery with cushioning on inner wall, lockable glove box, new steering wheel, booster-assisted front disc brakes, headrest for driver and front passenger.

The Omni’s boxy design now shows its real age. It has small wheelbase and turning radius, and wears new headlamps, front bumper, new door panel and side graphics.

Powering the Maruti Suzuki Omni isa 0.8-litre, in-line petrol engine and a 796cc LPG unit that produce a maximum power of 32.8bhp at 5000rpm with 57Nm of torque at 2500rpm and 27bhp at 4500rpm, respectively. Engine refinement is good, but it feels under power. High speed stability is poor too. Ride is uncomfortable and bouncy on uneven surfaces. It’s one of the easy-to-drive Maruti Suzuki cars in India.
