Maruti Suzuki Wagon R 1.0 Other Details

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R 1.0 has 12 versions available in India from which 10 are petrol and 2 are CNG cars. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R 1.0 comes in 7 colours, namely, Bakers Chocolate, Breeze Blue, Glistening Grey, Midnight Blue, Passion Red, Silky Silver, Superior White.

The WagonR is one of the best selling Maruti Suzuki cars in India that received slightly improved exterior and a feature-rich cabin in 2013. The hatchback, available in petrol and CNG fuel options, continues to be powered by the same 67.1bhp, 1.0-litre KB Series petrol engine and a 58.2bhp, CNG motor. Ride quality and handling are improved.

The hatchback isn’t one the most fuel efficient Maruti Suzuki cars in India, but delivers a decent fuel economy of 14.2kmpl on urban roads and 18.9kmpl on highways, which is 10 % more fuel efficient than its predecessor.

The updated version features a Beige & Black interior with rich blue and black upholstery and few additional equipment such as a new music system with FM, CD player and USB and AUX-in connectivity, climate control etc.

Exterior updates include a new chromed front grille, bigger headlamps, larger bumper with wide airdam, sporty fog lamps and blue tinted parking lamps at front end, wider rear windscreen, larger tail-lamps, chrome detailing and few more.

The petrol variant is powered by the same old 1.0-litre KB series engine, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, which churns out a maximum power of 67.1bhp with a torque of 90Nm. The CNG motor with intelligent gas port injection (i-GPLI) bi-fuel technology belts out a maximum power of 58.2bhp with a torque of 77Nm. It can achieve 0-100kmph in 15.9 seconds with a top speed of 148kmph. The ride quality is improved. It’s easy to drive in city, but highway performance isn’t impressive. Engine isn’t punchy too.
