The Diesel Spaceship
I used to own a Toyota Corolla , as it was almost 10 years old , and I was a die hard fan of this car and brand , I planned to sell it off and go again for the corolla Altis . During this time I was discussing with my colleagues about my intention , and my appeal for speed , power , comfort alongwith economy of fuel was discussed . Incidentally a Colleague of mine asked whether I had ever driven a Verna , to which I had said no , as he had one of the earlier version , he gave me a test drive. I always trust my own initial feelings which come in the first 10 minutes , before they get biased or polluted by external thoughts, here the initial feel of the pick up torque was something which I had never experienced before. it was mind blowing , and when we hit the expressway , I could see no struggle or loss of power in this car , The Verna has amazed me . I then immediately visited the showroom to get a test drive of the new Fluidic version. This car was love at first sight with its look , the power and torque was too good , and the ride comfort was also really good though the Interior space from the sides looked slightly compromised as compared to a corolla. the handling and compactness was just correct for our Delhi traffic. the Diesel fuel efficiency was remarkable, the options and accessories provided inside the car ,was mind blowing and best in its class. I have traveled to Agar via the expressway , touched 212 kmph at a point , the car was superb in handling and stability , I went to Alwar , to a fort in a forest area , the car handled itself well on the country dirt roads . overall its sheer power expresses itself very well. I am in love with this 'SPACEHIP'.
What Can ImproveThe onlt area which I feel needs slight improvement is the rear suspension , it is ok for City roads , but on bumps it makes the passenger hit his head on the roof.
