The new hatchback model in the small car segment from Hyundai has been launched in India. With Shahrukh Khan as its brand ambassador, this car is all set to lure the customers in the small car segment and give a head on competition to all its Maruti models in the same segment. Hyundai has rolled out this new city car in the small car segment that already marks its presence with Hyundai Santro and Getz. It is yet again one of the low cost car with factors like better mileage and low maintenance adding glamour to the model.

India is going to be the only manufacturing base for this car for Hyundai motors and is going to be shipped across the world. Congested roads, heavy traffic loads, long jams can all heartily welcome this compact hatchback model from Hyundai that is a pleasure reeling on the roads. It promises to easily thread through city traffic and be pleasure in the tight parking lots.

The Technical Glam-Sham

It has one of the most diminutive features like 3.565m long and 1.595m wide and a wheel base of 2.38m that rolls on 1.1 litre 65bhp petrol engine. You can also find its 1200cc diesel version. All models of i10 have standard air conditioning, come with power windows in the front, central locking, power-steering, body-colored bumpers, CD player, tinted glass and 14 inch alloy wheels. The kappa engine with aluminum cylinder block has helped Hyundai to reduce the weight and yet improve the power of the car. It has a seating capacity of four people with tyres pushed back to give more leg space as well as room for luggage.

The interiors are definitely better than other hatchback models but may not be preferred by those who like lighter interiors. The complete exteriors and interiors are designed for superior styling and give maximum comfort to those who would love to own a car with superb style and value for money comforts.

The Glitterati

The new Hyundai i10 carries the mystic 'i' in its name that reflects that the car is aimed towards the younger generation that is ipod or iphone savvy. The overall package offered by the car is quite attractive with highest quality that offers good value for money. This new car promises to bag new customers to Hyundai and definitely retain the Hyundai lovers who are loyal Santro customers.

The Hyundai i10 would be manufactured in India and would be exported to the western countries in 2008. It is expected to eventually phase out Hyundai's Atos (Santro in India) in European and other countries. India is going to be the sole global exporting and manufacturing hub for this car which is code named 'Pa'. Moreover, the European version would also have additional safety features like mandatory air bags, etc. It would also automatic transmission with a moon or sunroof.
