Upcoming Hyundai Eon Facelift

Hyundai Eon Facelift
January 2019 Expected Launch
3 - 5 Lakhs Expected Price

The entry level hatchback for Hyundai, the Eon is a decent contributor to the company’s overall sales figures. Except for a new 1.0-litre engine option that was introduced in 2014, the Eon has not received any considerable design upgrades since its launch in the country way back in 2011. In efforts to keep potential customer’s interest in the brand, the automaker will introduce a facelift version in the coming months.

On the design aspect, the new Eon facelift will carry fresh cosmetic upgrades based on the company’s renowned fluidic sculpture 2.0-design philosophy. The new model will get restyled headlamps, tweaked bumpers, new grille and revised tail-lamps. The side profile is likely to be more or less the same as the current generation with body coloured ORVM’s and will also sport newly designed wheel caps.

As for the interior, the new model will get revised upholstery in new colour combination and improved fabric. The new version will also get a new instrument cluster for freshness and the biggest change this time around could be in form of a touchscreen infotainment system, which is likely to be offered on the top-spec version for that competitive element in its segment.

Under the hood, the new Hyundai Eon will continue to be powered by existing 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre engine options that come mated to a five-speed manual transmission. However, the new model might return slightly better fuel efficiency figures owing to fresh design upgrades.
