Upcoming Ford Figo Facelift

Ford Figo Facelift
November 2018 Expected Launch
6 - 9 Lakhs Expected Price

The current Figo was introduced in 2015. After the EcoSport and the all-new Freestyle, Ford is expected to bring in a facelifted Figo to India. It has received a recent upgrade in the international market where it is called the Ka. The Figo facelift will reportedly be revealed in late 2018. Prices will be on par with the current model. The update will help the Figo compete against the new-gen Swift and updated Grand i10.

Styling wise, the changes made to the Figo will be similar to the Ka and the new Freestyle. The design changes will include a new honeycomb mesh grille with redesigned front and rear bumpers. The fog-lamp design will be cued directly from the new Freestyle. The rear will sport a redesigned bumper with additional black cladding to add to its new rugged appeal. Apart from that, we also expect it to come with a new lighting signature and a set of newly designed alloy wheels.

On the inside, the most prominent update would be the 6.5-inch floating touch infotainment screen with the new SYNC3 system as seen on the new Freestyle and the EcoSport. The rest of the cabin will follow a single tone finish with a better features list compared to the current car. The hatchback is also expected to get revised upholstery and a new interior theme.

The hood will house a new petrol engine from the Dragon family. This will be the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine which powers the Freestyle and will also find its home in the upcoming Aspire facelift. The diesel – the 1.5-litre TDCi – on the other hand, will be retained. Both engines will come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox as standard. The automatic transmission is only available with the petrol motor and will be offered with a new engine as well. A recent spy shot also hints at a CNG variant which may be offered with the facelift.
