Released on March 26, 2007, in Burs, Turkey, Fiat Linea is a family car based on the current Fiat Grande Punto platform.

Linea is equipped with the Blue&Me Hands-free system. It is a Microsoft Windows Mobile-based system with GPS, speech functions and multilingual voice recognition. There are four different versions of Fiat Linea available in India. Active is the base version with most of the comfort and safety features. AC Vents, auto up/down feature in the four power windows, hydraulic power steering, speed sensitive wipers and AC adjusted with a tropical climate. Dynamic is an edge-over wherein all features of active along with driver seat height adjust, additional rear cabin lights, electrically adjustable ORVM, night panel in roof lights and foldable desmodromic remote key are added. Then comes Emotion, which has auto climate control with dual rear AC vents, front seat armrest with glove box, 15-inch alloys and collapsible rear sun curtain.

It is a compact car with a four-door salon and an FF layout.

Being a part of the Fiat family, this car has a well-developed robust engine with a high output power and torque. It is well suited for Indian roads due to its powerful high standard engine.
