The top-end model is equipped with tyre pressure monitoring, front parking sensors, 6 airbags, panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable driver's seat with seat memory and cruise control.

      Chevrolet Cruze has always been among the top-selling cars in its league, though its sales started dropping post the launch of new-gen Hyundai Elantra. With bold and racy exteriors, the sedan has managed to attract a lot of buyers. Upfront is a split-grille, muscular bumper, chrome surrounds fog lamps and stylish headlamps, which adds to its sporty character. The side has minimal rear quarter glass and blackened B-pillars. Its shoulder lines move smartly to meet the large clear lens tail lamps. At the rear, the vehicle has the compact boot and sweeping rear windscreen.       The Skoda Octavia sedan is available in three engine options- 2.0-litre TDI diesel 1.8-litre TSI and the 1.4-litre TSI petrol. The oil burner is capable of producing 141bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic transmission options are on offer. The entry-level 1.4l TSI unit is good for 138bhp of power and 250Nm of torque coupled to a six-speed manual transmission. The powerful 1.8-litre TSI engine churns out 177bhp and 250Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a seven-speed DSG transmission.

      Powering the Cruze sedan is a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine that is capable of producing a top power output of 164bhp and 380Nm of top torque. This engine is paired to a six-speed manual gearbox.

      Conclusion

      The Chevrolet Cruze is known for offering excellent driveability and handling to its customer. However, the vehicle seriously needs a major styling update. The new-gen Octavia, on the other hand, looks a lot more appealing than its predecessor and is one of the better-looking cars in its league.
