Dhoom Star John Abharam Owns a Black Audi Q3...

18 January 2016, 03:45 PM

Bollywood heartthrob and Mumbai Marathon ambassador, John Abraham is known to be quite the motor-head. His love for wheels is rather well-known and over the years, he’s collected quite an eclectic range of cars and bikes in his garage. In-fact, some say that John’s collection is among the highest ranked celebrity cars in India.

Audi cars in India have had quite a strong following among the movers and shakers of the movie industry. From SUV’s to sedans and sports cars, the four-ringed logo is quite popular in Bollywood. The strong styling of the marque, the technologically advanced underpinnings, the signature Quattro all-wheel drive system, opulent interiors along with the fantastic ride & handling characteristics have all been responsible for this popularity.

The Audi Q3 for example, had managed to make quite a splash since its launch in 2012. Back then, John had already been using the larger, full-sized Q7 and thought that the Q3 made for a great buy. But, he had no thoughts of moving down a size or two on the car front. Rather, he had the Q3 in mind for someone very dear to him – his sister-in-law, Anca.

John fell in love with the fact that the smaller Q was just the right size for his sister-in-law’s motoring needs. It had a powerful turbocharged diesel engine under the hood that was also frugal enough when it came to fuel sipping habits. The cabin was just as well-appointed and luxuriously upholstered as its other siblings. Moreover, the Q3 was the only SUV in its class back then to feature full time all-wheel drive capabilities, thanks to Audi’s signature Quattro technology. All this meant that the John Abraham car collection came to have another Audi car in its midst.

Audi has since then given the car a series of updates, in terms of the cabin features and exterior styling. Today, the Audi Q3 gets the latest generation MMI (Multimedia Interface) Navigation system that features an advanced voice-activated command function that’s ready to assist and support the driver in the best possible way. The car also gets a new, panoramic sunroof which opens a world of breath-taking views for the occupants. Plus there’s also other goodies like the Audi Drive Select system, which offers the best state of engine performance and other electro-mechanical parameters to ensure a memorable drive each time. The Q3 also gets new-LED based headlamps and dynamic indicators at the rear which don’t just make a visual statement, but also offer an optimum level of performance. All-in-all, this is one of the finest offerings in the segment and in-keeping with the highest traditions of the brand that the Q3 represents.
