Maruti-Suzuki reintroduced one of the most iconic brands in Indian motoring when they launched the all-new Baleno earlier this year. A premium hatchback, it is the second offering from the company to be retailed through their exclusive, NEXA network of showrooms. Here’s the top 10 things to know about the Maruti Suzuki Baleno:

  1. The name, Baleno means a ‘Flash of Lightning’ in Italian. It was used previously on a premium sedan and its station-wagon variant by Maruti. Back then, it was among the most underrated of cars and there is a dedicated set of owners/buyers that cherish the car till date.
  1. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno in 2015 guise is a striking premium hatchback. Following the ‘liquid-flow’ design language, the styling is curvy with no real sharp edges so-to-speak. Plenty of premium touches are present on the exterior, including LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRL’s) and tail-lights.
