We have several hatchbacks and sedan cars in India that can be considered for day-to-day city driving purpose. The hatchbacks, however, are more practical and economical than the sedans. These compact cars are easy to drive in crowded, narrow urban streets and heavy traffic. Furthermore, you can easily park them in cramped parking spaces.

The hatchbacks are equally comfortable, efficient and safe as the sedans. There are a plenty of options in the city car segment, but choices could be confusing. Here’s a list of 10 best city cars we have in India.

Maruti Suzuki Alto k10: The Alto is the most popular and top-selling hatchback in India. Decent design, efficient engine, drivability, affordable pricing and low cost maintenance are key features that favor this car.
