The 2016 Lexus ES 300h proudly embraces a new design and advanced safety package that takes its Spindle Grille language to a completely new level. The new iteration of this sedan looks quite refined and mature with mid-life upgrades. It looks softer, a little more rounded, and distinct with new headlamps, well-defined L-shaped daytime running LED lights, added chrome strips, deeper fog lamp recesses, and a new set of 17-inch wheels.
The new car made its debut at the Auto Shanghai recently. Apart from new design, the sedan also comes with a new safety assistance package called Lexus Safety System +. The package encompasses an extensive list of crash avoidance and driver assistance technologies. Lexus has extracted the best of all safety features that were once spread across various packages.
The low-end version owners will receive a Pre-Collision System empowered with automatic braes that avoid collisions. The car also comes with a Lane Departure Alert that gives audio-visual alert along with vibration to the steering wheel. The package also includes Radar Cruise Control and Automatic High Beam headlights.
On the inner level, there is an extended array of tweaks that includes revised instrument cluster and steering wheel, new upholstery colors, wood finish, and redesigned switchgear for its infotainment system. The NVH levels have been brought under control with application of sound deadening techniques and a few other structural enhancements.
Rest remains pretty much same for the 2016 Lexus ES 300h. The eco-friendly car keeps wooing us with its 2.5-litre Atkinson Cycle 4-pot engine that smartly couple with electric motors. The two power mills team up to offer a power figure of 200hp which is pretty good considering its size and dynamics. The mileage offered by this Lexus car stands at 40mpg for city roads, and 39mpg for freeways. The combined fuel economy stands at 40mpg.
