In a world that is ruled by oil and fuel prices, those offering a decent fuel economy can be allowed to survive. It is a fact that has compelled almost all car makers to chase the elusive target of extra mpg for each new model. Also, it is the primary reasons why hybrid cars are taking a lead and hybridized version of Hyundai Sonata is being discussed all around. The 2015 Hyundai Sonata hybrid is slated to make to roads next year by replacing the present fuel based version of the car. The Eco version of this car intends to offer a less complicated solution to those seeking fuel efficiency in mid-sedan segment desperately.

One of the highly anticipated Hyundai cars in India, Sonata Hybrid will propel on a 1.6-litre, 4-pot, turbocharged engine that will aptly meld with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This power train is expected to extend Sonata’s mpg over urban roads and highways by 4 & 3 mpg respectively.  SO the total mileage figure of Hyundai Sonata hybrid is estimated to be 38/48 mpg next year. The 7-speed gearbox will be making its first ever appearance in Hyundai lineup. It takes an edge over Veloster’s 6-speed dual-clutch for its power based gear changing – a considerable upgrade over hydraulic actuation. The suspension, on the contrary, is shared with its present day version which means its fine driving quality will not be sacrificed for better fuel economy.

The price brackets of this green car open at $24,085 a respectable figure in Hyundai’s pricing hierarchy. The base model bears a slightly smaller price tag of $21,960, but also comes with a shorter list of features. The hybrid version of the car, on the other hand, boasts an elongated list of features that includes blind spot detection system, more chrome over on outer end, rear cross-traffic alert, pushbutton ignition, proximity key, leather wrapped steering and seats, heated front seats, 8.0-display for infotainment system accompanied by Blue Link, an automatically dimming rear view mirror, power based trunk opening, dual-zone automatic climate control, and what not. How ready the buyers section will be for this car is another tale that we leave on time for the moment. But one thing is assured; whatever price they pay it will be worth it and will satisfy all their needs and requirements in a smart fashion.
