Launched way back in year 2003, Endeavor has been one of the star sellers for Ford; no doubt it commands a special place among Indian celebrity cars. A magnificent utility vehicle, it is presently available in India in three trims. The price range for this vehicle extends from Rs.20-41-24.07 lakhs. It faces a stiff competition from Toyota Fortuner.
In terms of designing and styling, it gets marked by Ford’s signature grille guarded by a pair of broad headlights, an enhanced body toned bumper, alloy wheels, muscular stances on rear end, and a strongly appealing road presence. The interiors are filled with features up to gills in terms of quantity as well as quality. The power front, on the contrary, is taken care by a pair of diesel engines – a 3.0-litre Duratorq TDCi and a 2.5-litre TDCi diesel mill. The former churns 154bhp against a peak torque of 380Nm. The later, on the other side, delivers 141bhp along with a peak torque of 330Nm. The 2.5-litre trim melds with a 5-speed manual transmission while the other one has been awarded with a 5-speed automatic gearbox. Ford Endeavor is available in both 2WD and 4WD options.
In terms of performance and handling, it is one of the most subtle Ford cars in India that performs extremely well over rough terrains. The turbo lag is minimal and performance takes an edge over all mid-range SUVs. In total, it takes around 12.4 seconds to sprint from 0-100kmph speed mark. The safety regime of Ford Endeavor consists of all latest features like Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) system, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), seatbelts with pre-tensioners and load limiter, font passenger airbags, remote keyless entry, front fog lamps, anti-theft alarm, etc.
