Across the world market, fuel efficient non hybrid cars have a comparatively smaller market than the ones in India. Finding a non hybrid car in India that renders a high fuel economy is not that difficult as most manufacturers work towards ensuring the same. Manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Tata Motors have a number of economical cars in their portfolio and some of them have performed exceptionally well for several years now. Let’s take a look at the best fuel efficient cars from manufacturers across the Indian market. Some of these mileage cars in India are Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Classic and Tata Nano CNG eMax.

  1. Maruti Suzuki Alto 800: The name of the manufacturer is synonymous with mileage cars in India and the model Alto 800 is perhaps symbolic of this premise. Launched as the successor of the legendary M800 hatchback, Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 has performed wonderfully well and has become a household name throughout the country.
