Indian auto fanatics have a penchant for luxury cars, which are available in the nation through several renowned global auto giants. Out of these luxurious automobiles, the ones, which always leave the connoisseurs stunned, are the convertibles. Depending upon the manufacturer, these convertible cars can be categorised as hard-tops and soft-tops. Among the most splendid looking and efficiently performing convertibles present in India are as follows:

  1. Mini Cooper: The Mini Cooper convertible is present in India with a hefty price tag of almost Rs. 32.50 lakh. It is incorporated with a power-packed 1.6-litre petrol engine, which has a capacity to produce 122 bhp with a peak torque of 160 Nm. The car can go from 0-100 kmph in under 11 seconds and has a top speed of around 190 kmph.   1. Maserati Gran Cabrio: This convertible from the iconic Italian car maker is known to be a top-notch performer on roads. Astonishingly, it is the first 4-seater convertible from the car manufacturer and bears a hefty price tag of almost Rs. 1.40 crore. The car is equipped with a 4.7-litre V8 petrol engine, which delivers a power output of an enormous 440 bhp with 500 Nm of maximum torque.

  1. BMW 3 Series Convertible: The BMW 3 Series 330d convertible has been recently launched by the German car maker in the domestic market. This car features a sturdy 3.0-litre 24 valve diesel engine, which can belt out 245 bhp of power with a peak torque of a massive 520 Nm. Auto experts believe that this model is among the most splendid looking BMW cars present in the country. This variant can be purchased within the price range of Rs. 82 lakh and is the top-end model of the 3 Series.

The recently launched Spyder version of this car features a hard-to and is equipped with a mammoth 5.2-litre petrol engine, which delivers a power output of 518 bhp with maximum torque of 530 Nm.

The car is incorporated with a 3.0-litre petrol engine, which can generate 305 bhp of power at 400 Nm. The stylish looking car is available within the price range of Rs. 72 lakh.

  1. Jaguar XKR: The Jaguar XKR was launched in India in both coupe and convertible body types during the end of 2012. The convertible version of this car is tagged with a hefty pricing of Rs. 1.46 crore – Rs. 1.82 crore. It is equipped with a huge 5.0-litre V8 Supercharged petrol engine, which delivers a power output of 503 bhp with a maximum torque of almost 630 Nm.

  1. Aston Martin DB9 Volante: This convertible from the British luxury sports manufacturer is an awe-inspiring car. Tagged with a price range of a massive Rs. 1.90 crore, it is among the most optimal choices of the niches of the nation. This car features a 6.0-litre V12 petrol engine, which can churn out a power output of almost 470 bhp with maximum torque of 600 Nm.

  1. Jaguar F-Type Convertible: This car has been recently launched in the domestic market and arrives with a price tag of Rs. 1.23 crore – Rs. 1.83 crore. The convertible model of this car features a 3.0-litre petrol engine along with the option of an enormous 5.0-litre petrol mill.
