05 July 2014, 10:05 AM

Born on 7th April 1983 in the Boulogne-sur-Mer region of France, Franck Ribery is among the most talented footballers of the present generation. Known for his nimbleness and swift movements in the field, this athlete plays as a winger for the German club of Bayern Munich and also represents France National Football Team. As a child, he always showed keenness to learn the game but at the age of 2, he along with the entire family met with a brutal accident. As a result of the collision, Ribery suffered massive face injuries and had to get more than hundred stitches to rectify the same. The scars can still be seen on the legendary footballer's face but he takes that incident as a motivation factor.

Despite of the accident, Ribery had a serious inclination towards the game and started his youth professional career at the age of 6 with the local team of Conti Boulogne. Several years later, he joined the senior club of Lille but soon moved away as he had problems in adjusting. Ribery remained unsettled for quite a while and played for numerous league teams, such as Galatasaray and Marseille. However, the year of 2007 brought luck and charm for the sports man as he was asked to get transferred to Bayern Munich over a deal of an impressive 25 Million Euros. His golden years started from that moment onwards and the coming time witnessed him being an elite member of the club, which won 4 Bundesliga championships, 1 FIFA Club World Cup and 1 UEFA championship.

Franck Ribery has gained immense popularity as the iconic athlete of the nation and has even been mentioned among the top footballers of the world. Zinedine Zidane, the top-notch footballer of France, has also not been short on praises and has accorded Ribery with the tag of Jewel of French Football. Franck Ribery is the only player to hold the award of the German Footballer of the Year as well as the French Player of the Year. He is among the eminent names in the football arena and has an annual salary of over 11 Million Euros. Being rich certainly develops an opulent taste in any human and for Ribery, this taste is of luxury cars. Apart from football, this athlete loves to get his hands on sports cars and muscle cruisers from around the world. Parked in his garage is a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder, which is dipped in the shade of green.

Being a member of Bayern Munich, the footballer also receives a new Audi car every year from the auto major as it is among the main sponsors of the club. This year, he got an Audi S8 and also purchased a BMW X6 M Edition. Franck Ribery certainly has the potential to achieve the unthinkable and become the undisputed player of the nation.  At the age of just 31, he still has a lot of game left in his body and the coming years will be crucial in deciding where he finally stands. The billions fans pray for his success and want him to be the invincible player of the football fraternity.
