Hi Shiva, I have bought Accent 2001 (after your & other members advice, Thanx for that), done 74k kms & converted it to CNG. The car is running fine with only one problem,when i run it for 5-6 km, the panel area below A/C control switch which also has the hand brake gets hot (very hot). i checked out with my mechanic, he says the exhaust system is not working properly & is not able to push the exhaust fumes out. The smoke is trapped inside. Is this the case???. If yes than how does it pushes when the car is switched off & i park it when i reach my office.

Hi,
There is connection between exhaust pipe and heating near hand brake. Generally the handbrake gets hot after running the car for a while, this is due to mechanical connections of hand brake with wheel drum.Use hand brake and also engage the gear to ensure non movement of car.

Thats fine that happens in my accent also but the the heat is not much.If its getting too much hot get it chkd from a experienced mechanic or take to the service center. It may be also be because of CNG as it leads to more engine heat.
