Cars Q&A

Hi, This is Kedar Bendre from Pune. I looking for entry level Petrol Sedan prices less than 5.5 Lacs. I shortlisted Tata Indigo Manza (Basic Model:- Petrol) & Hyundai Accent. Indigo Manza Aqua Saffire Price is 5.47 Lacs & Hyundai Accent priced 5.53 Lac (With free Music System). I am going to keep this car atleast for 5 years. Lookwise & for Interiors I like Hyundai Accent. I am looking for 1) Reliability 2) Low Maintanance 3) Brand Value 4) Mileage 5) Resale value after 5 years. Please let me know which car should I buy.

MANZA is definitely a better choice
Resale at 5 years will be same for both

But Manza is Tata's Product & they are known for Diesel engines. I am looking for Petrol car. Once of my friend working with Fiat & he said go for Hyudai Accent as its fit & finish is better than Manza. What to do now. Lots of confusion.

Answer by Kedar 07 July 2010

Leave both go for Maruti Swift Dzire . It is the best entry level Sedan.

Answer by Rahul 07 July 2010

dear kedar,
MANZA is latest sedan compare to Accent.
and the petrol engine is fiat engine. why ur friend tell you to dont buy MANZA i dont know.
but as per your budjet MANZA is fit and u just go to dealer and take the test drive of both the vehicles.
ok and then decide to buy.
MANZA's quality is very good,new interiors,new fresh look,reliable.
and dont go for Swift Dzire it is the ugliest car on the Indian Roads and india market.

Hay sandy thank you so much. As you are the owner of Manza, I just want to ask one question to you. Hyundai I20 Sportz & Tata Indigo Manza Aura priced same. 5.85 lacs in Pune. As per mileage view which car you will select out of these 2 cars.

Answer by Kedar 07 July 2010

Accent model may be phase out soon from Hyundai like Getz, if you are keen on sedan cars then dezire may suits you well, please test dive once.

Answer by Vinoth 07 July 2010

Accent is not spacious if you compare it with Manza, Manza is very spacious. Accent might be phased out in near future. Personally I don't like the interior's plastic quality used in Manza. You can also consider dzire or used SX4 (2007 onwards).

Answer by Prashant 07 July 2010

Hay Prashant thank you so much. Dzire has very less space as compared to Manza. I am looking for the space inside & my budget is near about 6 lacs. Do I have any other option. I am not intersted in used cars.

Answer by Kedar 07 July 2010

Hey Mr.Kedar,

Within the budget of 6 lacs you want spacious car whether hatchback or sedan, i-10,i-20(may cost little more) and indica vista,Accent & Manza & D-zire,(but thereare lot more cars in hatchback but can't suite your taste of space) overall Manza suits your requirement of space, Accent little less with manza and D-zire less than Accent,i-20 less again & Manza is only car which fits the bill not only space with lot other features which equilent sedans doesn't offer, but again it is from Tata which is second in car sales history, but finally test drive all the cars and decide, goodluck
