Hi,
Generally car suspension is so designed that the vehicle steering wheel is not affected due to variations onroad except during heavy collisions. However the problem could be from tilt steering adjustment.Recommended to test drive other model. If you tell the dealer you have experienced jerks, they will surely provide one more test drive.
