Question
Hi, I plan to have tubeless tyres in my accent (2001). Would Kumho be good for it. I am getting this Kumho @ Rs. 1700 per tyre. Is this the real price of this tyre? i doubt.

Answers:

It is all right to buy tubeless tyres for your Accent. However, you should look around and maybe go for (a) Bridgestone or (b) MRF tyres, which are technically sound tyres. Kumho are Korean made imported tyres;in regard to the price it is possible that the dealer selling may have got a special deal on the tyres and hence it is selling it at 1700 per tyre.
If you are going to change to Tubeless tyres please ensure that you have tubeless on all wheels including your stepney.

Hi,
As mentioned by Mr Pradeep going for tyres like MRF or Bridgestone etc would be a good option.

dear ankit,
please dont buy khumo tyres even they are offered free. they are not made for our climate and terrain.all 5 tyres fitted in my new elantra in 2004 had either bulged on the sides or burst. i made a big noise over it and Hyundai got them replaced. go for either michellin[smooth] or bridgestone[sturdy]
