Cars Q&A
Swift's DDiS & Vista's Quadrajet are same engine sourcet from FIAT, so ther is no difference among them.
But Indica CS CRDi is far behind in terms of Torque, power, speed, reliablity than DDiS or Quadrajet engine.
Swift's DDiS & Vista's Quadrajet are both Fiat engines and are one of the best diesel engines in its class. They are very refined and smooth and powerful. The Manza has the same quadrajet 1.3 Fiat engine and the torguq is high so it has great power pick up etc. Swift DDis is good too. The CRDI is Tatas own engine and is a mark below the Quadrajet engine in terms of power / smoothness and refinement and also durability.
Yes to swift DDiS because it is tuned very refinely.
crdi is a technology called dicor in tata vehicles .the quadrajet engine by fiat in one of the most successful and common engines in its range used by maruti in swift and tata in vista and manza and fiat, the performance of the same engine varies in various cars depending on gearbox and power to wt ratio.there is no car as indica cs as stated by one of our friends its indigo cs another first by tata as it is the shortest sedan ,the motive was to get tax benefit and cut cost .
Hi,
The engine of Vista and Swift are bit advanced than crdi of Indigo and upgraded for better power and torque. Though there is no much difference in mileage of both Comparitvely Vista Engine is better tuned and gives great performance.
Hi,
Very very Important & basic difference between the CRDI of Indigo CS & the Swift/ Manza is Indigo Cs's engine is not having a Turbocharger which is the reason it lags during initial torque.
Secondly the technology is lagging compared to Imported engines of Fiet, but still i felt Indego CS CRDI is bit pretty & there is a possibility to get Turbocharger fitted to it externally...
