Anu,2000 model Ikon? not advisable as it came with the older ENDURA engine which has now been phased out and spares are expensive ,look for a mid 2004 or later model as Ford launched the ROCAM engine around that time and its the same engine currently doing duty in the Ikon ,you should be able to pickup a fairly good 2004 car with the Rocam engine for about 1.7 lakhs ,happy driving

never buy second hand ford if u want i have a 2008 model with the Tdci same as fiesta diesel engine for 4.5 Lakhs my mail is vishveshwaran@yahoo.co.in. second hand ford is high to maintain and is very less in milage.2002 is 70000.2004 is 1.95L and 2006 is 3.2L. regards

as advised by our friends i also will not advise you to go for used ikon that too 2000 model the cost of maintainance is quite high and i sold off mine 2001 model for 65k that too after much effort .either go for model after 2004 or better to opt for a used accent which will be troublefree in comparision to ikon 2000.till date hyundai has not phased out accent.

Avoid such old model of ikon. It has ENDURA Engine which are not good after 10 years. Go for 2005 model. Their ROCAM engine is solid & good. I had the same ROCAM car & it was pleasure driving it.

Dear friend..2nd hand ford ikon of 2000 make is not ta ll advisable.
You have to go as per your budget.2000model Ford and Accent ...both will come under 1.5 L.
Maintenance of both are high compared to maruti esteem.

Anu....Never to go for Ford Ikon..Low Milage..High Maintainance..Costly Spare Parts..etc..etc. I have Accent VIVA 2003 and till today it is decent. If you want a trouble free car then buy an Accent.

Hi....I have a ford Ikon Model September 2009. Its a petrol version with reg No: DL 3C AN 2626. I Purchased the Car on 25 Sep 2009. Its 1.3 Ltr Petrol version with ROCAM Engine. The Car has only run 13,325 Km till date. I have maintained the car immaculately ...its a spotless Car and u wont find a scratch on it. every year I had done servicing of the car from Harpreet Ford Okhla. I can provide the entire car history file to the prospective buyer. I maintain the car personally. Its a Platinum Color fully loaded with music system Sony Company fitted , with leather upholstery. I have changed the Battery - although it was not needed but still I hv put a new Amaron Battery, and very recently on the 8 Oct 2014 I have done the entire serviving of the car from Harpreet Ford. Changed the Oil Filter, Air Filter, 4 Spark Plugs, Wheel alignment and wheel balancing also done in the workshop.

DONT ever go for ford ikon 2000..high maintanance !!..Of all the ford ikon models i find ford ikon 1.3 flair the best, esp if its after 2007. All top end specifications available and it is a sturdy car too. works for even the roughest of users. My car is a 2008 1.3 flair. It is just amazing to take it on any terrain. Engine and AC cooling effect you can never get in any of its competitors. I strongly recommend ford ikon flair. Easy mileage of 13 kms in city and upto 16 kms on highway..
