Unless the i20's AC is much worse than the i10, you should not have any problems. Chennai is a humid city, and humidity increases the efficiency of ACs in general. Dry heat is hard to get away. Chennai's humid heat is easy on ACs, so you should do a test drive and find out for yourself.

whosoever has told you this ia misgiuding u .i20 is a very good car and the ac is very effective,there can a be a problem with a particular car but that does not mean that all i20 have ineffective ac.

I am driving Asta model in the heat of Lucknow and the AC is quite effective.FATC is simply awesome.somebody has definitely misguided you.Better try it once yourself.

I own a i20 and agree with what is said here. The AC in i20 is inaffective. It just cannot cool the big cabin with outside temperatures running 38 degree celcius in bangalore even when i alone driving - single occupant.

I20 according to me is under power car with high price tag although little bigger in size. I would look for other cars in this category like swift.
