I would like to buy a new automatic sedan car/suv between the range of 5 to 10 lacs. Please advise me which one best I should select.

My personal choices. There can be more at par sedans as well as SUVs

I think options you have are City, i10, verna, sx4. I own an Old Honda city AT and its a damn good car and would suggest you that.

In SUV heard that Mahindra is launching Automatic Scorpio, but not sure if its launched.

if u go for PETROL than go for HONDA CITY CVT.
if u go for DIESEL than go for HYUNDAI VERNA.

Honda City AT version costs around 12 lac onroad.Hyundai Verna diesel AT versioncosts around 11 to 12 lac onroad and Maruti Suzuki SX4 AT versioncosts around 10 lac onroad. Considering overall parameters including power,interior space features and price.SX4 would be the best selection.
