Dear Mr.Shiva I am regular reader of your Q&A section on cars. I am planning to buy new car betn Rs.6.0 lac to 6.5lac. I am confuse betn VW POLO DIesel & I-20. I took the quote of both the models from local dealer at pune. I-20 latest version with B4 is costing Rs.7.15lac on road and vw polocomfortline is costing Rs.6.55lac on road after deducting all the discount. My usage is around 50 km and only for family purpose.So diesel version is OK with me. Pl suggest whihc one to go for?? According to my analysis POLO is at higher side technically. Also, whose AC is more powerful,efficient, silent and what is the maintenace cost roughly?? Regards sagar

Hi,
Though performance of bot are good, the price of Hyundai i20 is on higher side compared to what it offers. Volkswagen Polo diesel version though got good reputation is yet to have proven performance in India. To select one and considering the budget range Polo will make a good selection. Alternatively recommended to test drive Grande Punto diesel which has the reputation of highperformance Fiat diesel engines and also comes at convenient price and stylish too.
