Hi,
In tire rating 155/80 R13 , 155 represents width of tire in MM and 80 represents height to width ratio,R for radial tire and 13 is the rim diameter. The main considerations made in going for particular rating consist of road grip which in turn affects overall performance both incity and highway conditions and coushioning effect etc .Hence Tires used in cars with higher weitht ratio will generally have high rating tires.
