i bought an automatic scorpio last january.the gear lever gives a vibrating sound while accelerating.what can be the possible reason?can it be corrected?i am yet to send it for first servicing.please advise.

The gear operation in Automatic Transmission version should be smooth. If you are experiencing vibrations then it needs to be inspected thoroughly.

Dear Friend,
If this vibrating sound is not creating any abnormality in gear shifting then it may be be either the transmission mount or or some of the transmission when engaged into gear might be touching to under body component. Or sometimes during PDI checks, they might not checked the loose mount bolts. If gear shifting is ok, then it will not be a major concern.

Hi , why did you buy auto transmission ? It is very headache while starts trouble.This vibration is due to missalignment you have to over haul the gear box with specialist technician. Avoid any ordernary technician who will spoil the complete.There must be cluch plates well aligned. good luck
