Hi! Shiva, I drives Wagon R, Oct 06 model, do - 8727

Hi! Shiva, I drives Wagon R, Oct 06 model, done 36000 kms so far. There is mild sound while turning the vehicle. Got it checked from workshop. He said its a minor axel problem and you can continue driving with it. The new axel would cost about 4500/- Some one told me about 2nd hand axel that costs around 1000/- + 6 months warranty. What should i do shall i get new axel and continue driving as it is.

Hi,
Wagon R is a front drive vehicle.The sound as mentioned from axle should be from Drive shafts. Hence it needs to be inspected thoroughly and bushkit changed or drive shaft replaced asap.Otherwise it may lead to brakedown of drive.

Completely to the contrary from our expert, your mechanic is right. You can definitely keep driving the car as it is for some more time. It IS a minor axle problem, and one that comes from normal wear and tear. It will not suddenly break down or anything like that. Keep driving, and change to a new axle, since I wouldn't trust a second hand one.
