Nano is a Perfect City Car For 4 peoples.... Excellent Fuel Mileage of 20-22Kmpl in City... Ultra Low Maintainence...

Three cars caught fire two in Mumbay day before yesterday and one in delhi. All the cars were being driven to the owners home from the showroom. All three turned to ashes in a matter of a few minutes. reason of fire is unknown, Since it is a rear engine, drivers do not even get to know of the fire. They barely get a few seconds to jump out of the car and save their lives....forget saving the car.

Both cars are EUR0-3, avoid it and go for EURO-4.

The way Nanos are catching fire, I think Tata people should supply following with the car compolsorily.
1. Built in fire extinguisher
2. Fire proof dress for drivers and passengers
3. Compulsory fire insurance/accident insurance
4. Accident/Injury kit and disaster management manual

Nano is a perfect city vehicle in terms of mileage, driving , seating and parking.
I have Nano and Alto too - Am fully satisfied with Nano - It is value for money

Alto is also a small car, but it will not give mileage more than 20/kpl. But when compare with NANO it is better to go for NANO. NANO is designed as latest model, it seems very good looking.

the choice completely depends on your priorities. both are good vehicles, despite ppls protests otherwise abt the nano!
the nano has more sitting space and is comfrtable in the city due to its extremely small dimensions and big seating space inside.
the alto is the smallest and most efficient car from maruti which has a formidable reputation, long durability and decent space for luggage also(compared to nano). the maruti sales network makes it worth buying any maruti car coz you know that servicability of the car will be extremely good.
personally i have a nano and am happy with it as my city car, my cousin has an alto and he is very happy with his car as well.
so the decision is all yours

Has Tata produced ONE rock solid performer in so many years? One car that doesn't look twenty years old in five years of usage? The Nano is too new for people to have any maintenance issues, but at that price point, please do not expect quality. Even at 4 lakhs, the Indica is an underpowered rattling cage.

Go for it Man, Incidences mentioned are not even 0.1% of Total Nano on road.. Second I have Old Zen and Honda City and now I am planning to go for Nano for city purpose. It has superb Leg and headroom which I can bet you will not get in 5 lac hatchback also.. Yes boot space is nil but how many times in the city ride you need that.. Its absolutely value for money.. The minimum turning radius makes it very easy in city.. Go for it..

hey guys..plz respect TATA..the one N only great person,who thought about middle class or scooter family..I still remmber the day,when i was wachting T.V program of Legend TATA's speech on NANO launch.He simply said,,it was his dream to do something for person,who pulls his entire family(parents+2,3 kids,luggage) on two wheeler,in any risky condition like rain,highway,hills etc.And he did it..and by the way its a small car.so it should be handle with care.one more thing..dont talk about fire,its not only happned with NANO,dont u remeber in delhi whole family died in HONDA CITY fire case.i have seen burning scorpio N accord also...it can happned with any brand.so please dont make fun of NANO..
