Hi,
It would be a btter idea innot going for the modified automatic transmission fitted Esteem or AT version cielo onaccount of maintenance cost.A good conditioned manual transmission version model would give better service ,

Sir,
If you are so particular for an AT version (old one), it is better go in for a Maruti Esteem AT. Those who prefer AT Cars, should go for a new one instead of a 2nd hand.

If you are living in Delhi/NCR can go for either option as
maintaince cost is cheap and spare parts for AT is easily available at cheap prices in Junkmarket Mayapuri in a very good condition.

Hi,
My suggession is, we can't compare Ceilo with Esteem, for driving and for journey Ceilo is class vehicle. But if you are looking for a Resale value, then go for Esteem. But Ceilo's Maintains cost is little bit costly than Esteem, but if you can find out better condition Ceilo, go for it.

instead of going for a automatic transmission i suggest you to get on a manual coz automatic gear maintenance is huge and parts wont be availble. I have a mamual transmission cielo.. let me know if u need one. we shall discuss. 9700521131

Although I own a Cielo car, I would suggest you to go ahead with Maruti if they have AT.

Hello there,
apologies, for not seeing this information for this long.

I have a cielo GLE AT, a 96 model and drives like a charm. Maintainace is negligigle, and it has a better road presence than esteem. The -ve side is that there is more daewoo in india anymore, the car is meant for city driving, you cannot accelarate that quickly, as GLE AT has 3 fwd gears+ 1 reverse.
You should be able to get on without much trouble, and FYI all the parts are easily available in Bangalore, second hand as well as new ones.

Regards.

It all depends on the condition of the vehicle in question Cielo is an absolete vehicle but you can buy another car and keep the spares ready. Maruti the spares are across the counter . But why AT manual transmission is more fun and in second hand cars the Spares for repairs to Auto transmission will be more than the cost of the old car.
