One of India's worst car makers, doing business with a Korean company, with Chinese parts thrown in - you decide if you want to buy a car or a headache. Quality is bound to be compromised just looking at the background of Premier. Guaranteed junk!

Hi,
Going for Tata Sumo victa or Grande MKII would be a beter choice than Rio.

It's not all advisable to buy the Rio simply because it's parent, 'Premier Automobiles' had to pack their bags and shut down their manufacturing unit a few years ago because they couldn't compete with Maruti Suzuki and at that time Maruti's 800 single handedly gave them a tough time to survive in the Indian market. And now they are back with their new born child 'Rio', trying to establish themselves at a time when the Indian Automobiles Market is flourishing with world class international brands like Toyota, Skoda, Volkwagan, Ford etc and where competition has reached the highest peek, the Premier Rio would definetly find it very hard to breath & survive in the Indian market.
