Hi, I got a plan to buy an M Esteem. Y'day, I got to check a car which is 95 Feb model. [MH regn; Kms: 40000]. I feel like there are few jobs are to be done on that car to make ok. Please give me the average expenses for the same in Bangalore. 1) Full service including the interiors. 2) Replace all the beedings for all doors and boot + wiper blades. 3) AC servicing. [Fan is OK but not cooling] 4) Painting exterior. More over I wish to fix the power window too. [optional wish] -- In case if I Reg the car in bangalore How much will be the charges and tax. It got good/ok radial tyres, battery and insurance paid & new plugs. The current owner agreed to provide me the NOC for the car. I wish you to give be approx expenses and how much I can qoute for the car. He is asking me 45K.

Hi,
The price quoted is quite ok. The main point to consider is the maintenace costs. Forgeneral service of Esteem costs around 500Rs.Aas the vehicle is old if piston rings are to be replaced then the bill amount could be arpund 30K Rs. It needs lot of attention and cost in maintaining the same. Going for 800 of similar price range would be better.

ur think good but this car cost is high u paid this car 32000 only because its model is very old. in rs.45000 u bought a good maruti 800.

Thanks for all of you for forcing me to rethink. That person is not willing to reduce than 50K. So I left that plan since I understood I need to spend atleast 25K which has no guarentee.

That would be a good decision to drop the plan. Of course Esteem is a good choice but go for a newer model if you are really fond of.

better u go for 98/99 model esteem. since you can not fit lpg because of rto problem.

45k for car +30 for repair= 85k, for rs 85k u will get a well maintained 97 or 98 maruti esteem in bangalore. better look for other car in your locality

If you are intrested in Esteem u can have a look on my car it is Sep-2000 model bangalore regn with 50ltrs LPG company gaskit with RTO attestation, 4 brand new tyres, front 2 way power windows, well maintained interiors, AC with good working condition, MP3 player with 4way speakers, having a milleage of 11-12 in city and 14-15 in highways in LPG. Rate is not a constrain as i will be allocated with a compay car next month and cusrrently having no space for parking 2 cars. intrested call me up on 9980930369.

Hi, Shiva/Jain,

I got all the docs as you described. The car was not under hypothecation and since there was no entry related to that.

It was actually a company car and I foundt there is a a tax paid [6000/-]. The doc says that the taxation class: Part-7A along with the date, could you please describe what this can be and it there anything remains on the same?...
