Cars Q&A
No, their is no problem with the fuel pump of Optra Magnum TCDi. It is certainly a rumour and could be a one off case. But, yes it is not selling in satisfactory numbers and might be phased out very soon. The resale is already very very poor.
SX4 Diesel. I am wishing for the same car for the past 1 year, and it is almost impossible to see it on the roads in the next two months. May be, by the end of 2010 Maruti launches it.
Given your budget of 10-11L, i would suggest you to go for Chevrolet Cruze. Or Scorpio if SUV's suits you.
Hi,
Chevrolet Optra Magnum is a good performance car with large interior space, comfort, features. The car comes up good warranty back up and it does make a good selection inthe budget range mentined. However it has to be accepted that sales is down compared to other cars of the same range.
Recommended to test drive Linea Emotion or Mitsubishi Cedia which will make a great selection.
I am not aware of any FUEL pump issues with the Magnum, I had the spoken to some tech experts before purchasing it.
Having had the car for the last 6 months now, I have not faced any sort of an issue / drop in performance etc....
And Optra is far more comfortable in every way compared to SX4, Dezire, Linea, Verna and even the Octiva
Their 3 years no labor warranty is a huge bonus, believe me it will save u atleast 10% of the car's cost over 3 years in service / parts replacement.
Its a good choice, However you could consider cruze (but cruze diesel top model comes @ 15 lakhs- will be abt a lakh lower if u r not in bangalore / KA). The once thing with Cruze is I still felt Magnum was better with comfort
certainly optra is superb...at 10.3 lak wher wil one get abs airbag climate control etc...not to mention the awesome performance
