We had both Wagon-R and Santro-Xing-XL.

Seating -
Santro is more comfortable than Wagon-R. Back seats can easily accomodate 3 in Santro.

Looks -
Obviously Santro

Mileage -
Santro - city ~ 14 kmpl, highway - 18 kmpl
Wagon-r - Don't recall

Fuel -
If you driving long distance, say more than 100kms per day, then paying extra money for LPG will pay back, otherwise not. You need to make a calculation based on this.

Resale -
Both cars have low resale value.

Pickup -
Both cars have low pickup with A/C on

Ease of drive -
Both care have good height and are easy to drive.

Maintenance-
Both care are the same. However, major parts, Wagon-R may be less expensive.

Both cars have bad pickup. But if you INSIST on going for an LPG then the better option would be santro. Primarily because it has better looks(my view), decent sitting space, good control and steering. Its upto you to do the cost benefit analysis. Remember LPG has lower sale value. Also there is that 'feel' factor.

According to Mr.Karthik both have bad pick up as it is car of cost just 3-4K where as honda city has a cost8-9k which will obiviously have good performance.
So better go for the car which suits your pocket.
Both Santro and Wagon R have good LPG kit and are successful but according to style,performance and resale values santro will be a better option.
