Hi,
For the usage mentioned, diesel version car would be more economical. Though initial investment is bit more than petrol version. It will be profitable in long term usage.

Hi Asif,

I strongly agree with Sandeep's suggestion. If you are mostly driving in and around Delhi NCR, A Petrol Car with CNG is the best choice for you. Dont know about other Metro cities, but if CNG is easily available, just go for it.

I am having Logan 1.4 GLX (Petrol) NOV'2007 model. Which I converted into CNG on AUG'2009 from then I drive 25000 km till now on CNG (150 km. daily, from Delhi to Sonipat daily) and I have not face any problem till now. Around 37000 km already run on petrol by me before CNG conversion.

Buy a diesel car from a brand that has good service networks around since the area covered by you everyday is around 100Kms.
Also check on the maintenance and spare parts costs.
Maruti swift diesel would be my choice.
Thanks

Why CNG Over Diesel??
Lets Take Ritz as an example.
Cost of Ritz VXi(p)(ABS) in Delhi=5.0L+CNG Installation 40k=5.4L
Cost Of Ritz VDi(d)(ABS) in Delhi= 5.8L

So, You save around 40,000.
Mileage Of Ritz Petrol With CNG= Atleast 20Kms. Per Kg.(In City)
Cost Per Km.= 22/20= Rs 1.10

Mileage Of Ritz Diesel = Around 15Kms. Per Litre (In City)
Cost Per Km= 33/15= Rs 2.20

Hence, Savings Per Km.= Rs 1.10
Saving Per Day= 1.10*100= Rs.110/-
So, Yearly You would be saving around 40,000 rupees plus the upfront cost 40,000. And Most Certainly, Petrol Car's maintenance & spares is always cheaper than diesel.
