I am not sure if you can compare the 3 unless you are getting a used car at the same price. If you are, then go for the highest model available at same price. How can compare an Alto to an Opel Astra - an Astra is double the power, comfort and features than that of an Alto? Service situation is going to specific to your area and available options. So don't necessarily assume service will be good for Fiat or Opel.

See it is very simple if you can afford buy an Opel Astra because Opel is not just a Car its an Opel Astra. Full comfort or Long drive it is very very nice vehicle. I go to Mumbai once in a year and Bhopal once in a year from Bangalore. In the month of June or July I go to Mumbai and in Dec I go to bhopal and its very comfortable Mumbai is 1900 km and bhopal is 2400 km. I have a fully loaded Opel Astra 1998 Model the only thing you wont get the Milage not more than 10. If you look at the maintenance it is very cheap for Opel as it depends on you, you should know from where to buy parts and which part is good. 1 year back there was some sound from left tyre and mechanics in bangalore told me the expense of 18000/- to 20,000/-. I bought my vehicle to Mumbai and the expense was Rs.80/- only shock up was look so its makin the sound. You should know about the cars and you can easily enjoy driving with opel astra. I had alto also nice car very good mileage no maintenance and very good resale value. I sold my car after 2 year for 2.45 lakh I bought it in 2007 and sold it in 2009 as I was buying a new house. again I am planning to buy and alto. For going long distance I use Opel Astra and for city use and short distance I use Alto.

I agree with Vijaykumar, I own 2 opel astra cars both 97 odels, man they are very comfortable, even in city i enjoy riding it. Alto no doubt is a good small car and so is palio but u cannot compare these 2 cars with astra man, astra is a a different league, mileage around 10 with a/c, just be little gentle onthe accelerator pedal. although alto and palio give mileage close to 17-18 kms/litre, but when it comes to safety, alto and palio are zero match. my choice is astra if u can afford the fuel efficiency.

Astra is any day good comfortable vehicle. I would preper ASTRA
