I had Fabia 1.4 Petrol, which has been stopped now.As long as comfort & driveability is concern, you can not compare with swift. It is excellant. Unfortunately I had some very serious pick up problem in the initial Gear ( first & second gear ) I therefore returned it back to the Skoda company & got my money back.
If you are not concern about mileage & cost of maintenance, go for Fabia. It is the best. If particular about mileage & cost of maintenance, Swift is the best option.

in my opinion fabia is good option because its a luxurious car and swift is ok but not too good.fabia body is very solid comparing to swift

Expert`s comment:

Fabia has the advantage of Luxurious outlook, interior comfort, brand value and decent mileage but initial cost is more and maintenance cost is also on higher side.
Swift Petrol has beter mileage ,lower initial cost and comparitively cheaper maintenance cost.
In overall Swift makes a optimum selection and Fabia would be better if cost is not a constraint and have alternative car when its given for service/repairs.
