" hi shiva.. i wanna change the timing belt of my ford ikon 1.6 petrol car since itis worn out and some irritating sound hears from the engine..mechanic told its fault with the timing belt. so what all the necessary things to be taken care while doing that..and also how much it cost for me for the same.

Timing belt is one of the mst important things for efficient running of engine and recommended to get the same changed from authorised dealer or experienced mechanic.Aafter changeing belt the ignition timing has to be ensured with in the limits as recommended.It will be taken care by mechanic.The cost could be around 4k excluding labour.
