Is it necessary to use clutch when shifting f - 7856

Is it necessary to use clutch when shifting from Gear to neutral? We must use clutch when engaging gear but I want to know in case of disengaging from gear. I think we will use less clutch in doing so but is it correct technically?

Hi,
The function of clutch is to disengage the drive.Whenever operating gears its essential to use clutch. Some experienced mechanics may do tricks in changeing gears without operating clutch but its not recommended for better peformance of vehicle.
