Hi, I am planning to buy MUV/SUV and zeroing on Innova Diesel, I am in Mumbai with family of 4 and daily run of 70 KM with occasional trip out with family and friends. Which version to choose for? Is Toyota planning to come with new version/vehicle? Any other suggestion. Thanks, Sanjay

Answers:

Innova diesel is a good choice. Toyota vehicles demand less of maintenance but the cost of spares is high. You may choose Chevrolet Tavera higher model too. Tavera has a perfect mileage. The only problem is its drift at high speed brking and relatively faster tyre wear.

Innova is a great option as SUV for family usage as well as long trips.Toyota wont be comming up with new versions in near future.It can be expected by end of 2010.

Go for the top end model with Airbags, ABS and all the frills and enjoy. Recently I had to subject my seven seater to 7 heavy weight adults with 8 suitcases (luggage career) and we drove for approx. 800 Km with great Drive and Ride quality. Best CAR in its class.

For its price the Innova is excellent value for money in India. It can cope with poor road surfaces. It is an excellent load carrier and the top marque has a lot of luxuries. It comes in 7 or 8 seater and for your family I would go for the 8 seater. A fitted roof rack helps greatly with its already good load carrier capabilities.

I have no hesitation in recommending the Innova as possibly the best vehicle for its price on the roads in India today.
