I am a mechanical engineering student and my final year project is car overhauling. I wanted to know where can i test the engine horsepower before working on it and after the modifications so where could i do that? as my college is unable to give me the test rig to work on my engine.

Hi,
For checking performance of engine you need atleast set up of engine with fuel supply,exhaust allassembled including coolig system etc as you will need to check rpm, fuel consumed perminute, etc. this should be available in institution offering Mechanical/ automobile engineering.
