looking to buy a new diesel hatchback which one among the following is a better choice: maruti Swift, maruti Ritz, Indica Vista, Grande Punto. My concerns: comfortable to drive and ride, safety, space inside, overall quality, maintenance cost, fuel efficiency, life, good looking and good service. expected to drive 15000 to 20000 kms per year and will use for 5 years minimum. resale value not a big concern.

Hi,
Among the options mentioned, best selection would be between Indica Vista and Punto. Indica vista has the advatage of good build quality, style and reliability but lacs in interior finish.Grande Punto makes best to choose for its updated style, build, reliability and excellent warranty of 2 years unlimited KM usage.

I own 2 Maruti Swift------ both Petrol. I am very satisfied with the performance. I won't be able to comment on the Diesel
version.

Fiat is best one for deisel variant.

Hi,

Both Indica Vista & Grande Punto cover all your requirements much better than the Maruti's except overall quality & good service. As both the cars are being service by TATA & If you can live with TATA's substandard After Sales Service, I would suggest you the Punto, else go for Ritz.

Hi!
I would suggest you Maruti Swift.Punto,Swift and Vista Diesel varient all has same engine but Maruti Swift tuning is best compare to these.
