Cars Q&A
Hi,
Chances of getting good conditioned Zen within 50k is very very less.96 model ca be bought for Rs 1 lac.
As alternative you can get a fair conditioned Maruti 800.Please use search option for the same.
Dear Saurabh
Its all depend on the condition and location as well .The second hand car are very cheap in mumbai and delhi .I am not sure about chennai. I think the good condition car LXi would be availbale 60-75 K 1996 model.
U can easily get a 96 maruti zen in calcutta even a much higher version 98-99 and the only thing u need to drive in chennai is a No Objection Certificate issued by the Transport department of the concerned area where the vehicle is registered. But I give a good advice , try to find a tax fail car in calcutta since in calcutta the tax is payable after every 5 yrs so buy a 2004 model for 1lakh whose tax has been lapsed . the difference is that the tax lapsed cars can be bought cheaper , sinsce u wont be driving the car in calcutta u dont need the tax. but u will not get the N.O.C . but there is no need of N.O.C if u are not going to change the registration number of your car in chennai. so very simply buy the car pay the road tax in chennai use it for 2-3 yrs and it will give u a profit of 30000 after 2 yrs as well. I have been doing this by buying cars in calcutta and selling them in delhi and northern india and believe me i dont have to do anything else for a living than selling only 1 vehicle in every 2 months. thats the best advice u can get mate.
Used car prices are less in Delhi compares to all other state. You may get a good condition car around 50K at Delhi.I am personnally not suggest you to buy such a old vehicle,at least buy a car that made after 2000.Even you can search cars in Pondy also. You want to use other state vehicle for long duration you need to pay tax to TN.
Hi Saurabh,
if u r looking to drive the car in Chennai, suggest u look for a 2nd had car at Chennai - if u buy from any other state, u will need a NOC from that state to drive in Chennai - if you donot change the registration no. If u change the reg no, then unless the car is Euro/ Bharat 4 norm, u cannot get it registered (all metros will only register Bharat 4 norms from 2010). Avoid these hassles & go for a car at Chennai - will u really save by buying out side Chennai - think about transportation cost to Chennai
Dipankar is right.BS-IV starts from April-01-2010.
