Tata Safari (EX Tcic Engine,Model, 2002)Clocked 90,000km Average 11.5km/lt. on opening throtel even in idle,sort of whistling sound comes from engine, on careful observation i could finnd sound must be coming from turbo hospipe,(Jet whistling sonnd it increases as the rpm increases)can u explain it, and if it is from turbo hospipe (could be a small ieak) then what to do for this thanx

Hey!!!!!! Can u elaborate weather this sound is new or u have just discovered it. Normally all TC engines give a kind of a whistling sound whenever the engine are throttled. But just to make sure its advisable to check the Hosepipe of the TC. Without listening to the sound, one cannot tell weather its a leak or a trademark TC whistle.

The problem could be due to the malfunctioning of element present in the turbo unit. Please get the same cheked/ replaced and problem would be solved.
