May be engine rpm is set at a low speed and when the AC is put,it takes some load and hence the engine speed drops with AC operation in a very jerky and vibration.
Try to increase the engine idling speed and also check whether the Engine mountings and AC mountings are fully tight and no problem.

Check timing belt tension and engine mounting rubber. This problem rarely occurs in a Santro.
check the belt and also the ac clutch. yes idle speed could be low check that also
You need to increase the RPM of the engine with authourised service centre,also check for fan belt,however it is normal for a car to vibrate a bit ,if ac is on,as it consumes same load from engine RPM
Hi,
The main cause of engine vibration can be the weak engine bedding.Please get the same replaced.For increased vibration when AC is switched on, thorough inspection is needed.
